Barney Bubbles (1942-83). London-based designer. Born Colin Fulcher, he is renowned for his distinctive contribution to the graphic design associated with the British independent music scene during the late 1970s and early 80s.
Brought an informed awareness of 20th century art and design movements (particularly Russian constructivism and futurism) to post-punk imagery.
His significance has been difficult to assess because his refusal to sign work.

Barney Bubbles committed suicide in 1983.
